On 24 September we enjoyed an early-season blitz tournament, organised by Rob Colston. Each player had a time allowance of 5 minutes plus a 3-second increment. The leading finishers were: 1 Rob Colston (5/6); 2 Hanhan Wen (4.5/6); 3 David Watt (4/6); 4 William Warnock (3.5/6).
As usual, the frantic rate of play produced several surprises. Notably, William beat David, and Hanhan and William both drew with Rob. Once again, 12-year-old Hanhan has proved to be one of our most promising juniors!
