The Glasgow Chess League has finally restarted operation after the pandemic forced a 2-year break.
In Division 1, Bearsden A got off to an unpropitious start, losing to Hamilton A and to league champions Stepps A. It seems that we are still rather rusty (although our opponents were not)! Stepps A lead the division with 5/6 match points, but it is still early days; most other teams have played only 1 or 2 matches.
In Division 2, Bearsden B had a shaky start, but improved with an eventful win over Paisley B. This result leaves them in second position with 3/6 match points, just behind Giffnock with 4/4.
