Our New Year kicked off with a simultaneous display by Andrew Greet. Andrew is a member of our club, and is the second highest-ranked chess player in Scotland.
Andrew faced 18 opponents, with a wide range of ages and grades. Generously, he allowed each opponent to choose to play either White or Black. (More usually, all opponents play Black.)
After a marathon session, Andrew finished with 12 wins, 3 draws (with Christopher Nield, Dominic Quinn, and Álvaro Rodriguez Rosales), and 3 losses (to Goetz Bucher, Rob Colston, and David Watt). Well done all, and many thanks to Andrew!
